Bart Allen, Drug Treatment Executive Director
It is my personal goal to provide all clients of CTC with the best
chance of recovery possible.
While CTC has worked with thousands of people recovering from chemical
addiction, it has always been my philosophy that any drug rehab
program should build its entire enterprise to serve only one:
The individual. In other words, we created CTC to exclusively help
the next chemically addicted person get well.
I myself have been in a 12-step program for 23 years. Clean
and sober. Thank goodness those people helping me get well
knew what they were doing. Working with chemically addicted people
has since been my passion, and I often think back to those times
and early impressions that impacted my life so profoundly. I believe
people working in the field of recovery should take their job very
seriously. In my early days of sobriety it was
the staff of the recovery program
that had the most powerful influence on me.
When I first met these people, they were only strangers. Soon,
however, they became friends, mentors, examples of a new life, and
I came to feel that I could follow in their footsteps, and accomplish
a new way of living without drugs or alcohol. Because of that experience
I came to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Literally, I owe
my life, and a very good lifestyle, to them.
My experience makes me believe strongly that it is CTC’s
responsibility to provide the kind of environment, and the kind
of staff, that gives each new individual client the same opportunity
that I had.
